col2-7

Let your roots grow down into Him

and draw up nourishment from Him

so, you will grow in faith,

strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught.

Colossians 2:7 NLT

Knowing the vision and drive of a ministry makes a difference in how you filter what comes from that ministry. We must be careful to know who and what we are allowing to speak into our space every day through our inboxes and social media accounts.

Deeper Still Ministries exists from a deep seeded desire for everyone’s roots to grow down into God through the teaching of His Word, through the personal reading of His Word and through the penetration of His Word into their life.

It’s because of these avenues that our roots grow down into God and draw up nourishment from Him. As we draw up nourishment, we grow in our faith. And as we grow in our faith, we become strong and vigorous in the truth we are taught!

Psalm 1 says, those who delight in His law and meditate on it day and night will be like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf will not wither. If we let our roots grow down into God’s words, and delight in them, we will be strong and vigorous in our faith.

As I write Bible studies and devotionals, post blogs, share devotional thoughts on social media and finally, travel to women’s events to teach, I want you to know that my heart is steeped in the truths of God’s words every day so that you receive continual nourishment as you welcome Deeper Still Ministries to speak into your space.

In these last days, we must care about the truth we are being taught, and who is teaching it to us, in order to continually deepen the growth of our roots in Him.

Living Deeper Still is letting your roots grow down, Deeper Still, in Him.
