be still

God can do anything, you know—

far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!

He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Ephesians 3:20-21 The Message

This past Saturday was amazing with the women of Living Water Church. We laughed together, loved each other through conversation, and lived in the Word for a day!

During our time together God taught us the importance of Be Still.

  • Be Still and know He is God. {Psalm 46:10}
  • Be Still and wait patiently. {Psalm 37:7}
  • Be Still and He will fight for us. {Exodus 14:14}

The busyness of this world will never bring our lives the eternal significance of a Be Still time.

Once we step away from the busyness of this life, into a Be Still space, with a focus to know God Deeper Still, we can lean into Him through reading, studying, and praying His Word.

Let us remember that no one is too old to begin the habit, or take another step Deeper Still, toward a Be Still time. When still, the Word of God leads us to rest, to cease striving and to keep silent – Be Still – so that God can be in our lives who He is, God.

Lean into who He is as His Word reveals who He is. Lean into His power as His Word is living and active. Lean into His presence as He unfolds His truths.

Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, Be Still. Be Still and know God.

Determine when you will daily Be Still in God’s Word – because you love Him. God longs for His creation to know Him. Don’t just say you love Him. Show Him.

Be Still {and Lean In} to Live Deeper Still.
